1st of Khordad 1390

May 22nd 2011

Otherwise known as the day I leave for Iran.

It is finally upon us, unbelievable as it is. It is 12:37am and going with tradition I am still not 100% ready to go. Still some last minute packing/downloading/preparations to go. Procrastination is what I do best, so why mess with a good thing.

The itinerary Lufthansa Flight 447 to Frankfurt departing at 6:05pm. After approximately nine hours of flight time, a six hour layover in Frankfurt, we will depart for our final flight to Tehran due to arrive Tuesday morning around 3:00am. Oh where did Monday go? I’ll have lost it forever.

Luggage – Three checked bags, one walker, two carry on bags and two backpacks. Provided I have internet at Frankfurt I shall update the blog with a fancy schmancy photo of me ready to enter Iran. If not you’ll just have to wait a little longer.

And now I leave you with a photo of Sadra and I at the U2 360 concert.

  1. Good for you Laura! I will be checking your blog often—you’re going to love it here. Facebook me when you guys get to Esfahan and I will give you my number or I will see you in Tehran maybe…. I know this will be the best trip of your life!! I always leave wishing I could take a piece of this country with me and I just know you’re gonna feel the same!

  2. This is perfect. I feel like I’m traveling with you guys. I love this idea of yours.
    Anxiously waiting for new posts…
